Discover a hidden gem in life drawing.

This special workshop is designed for artists who want to push their coloured pencil skills further by working on an exciting, unconventional surface—sanded paper. Often overlooked, this surface opens the door to a more painterly, dynamic approach, allowing rich layering, bold marks, and surprising depth using simple coloured pencils.
You’ll learn how both affordable industrial sandpaper and artist-grade sanded papers can transform the way you draw, giving you greater freedom, texture, and expressive power. If you’re curious to refresh your practice and explore new possibilities in life drawing, this workshop will inspire you to see coloured pencils in a whole new way.

? Who:
You and a small group of like-minded artists explore a new approach and follow your artistic journey with inspiration and guidance from Harvey Chan @harveychanart  ( Maximum of 15 students ) 

? What to Expect:
There will be focused instruction, demonstrations, and Harvey’s feedback, including 3 hours of drawing time with a life model. 
? RAFFLE!  The winner of the night will take home one of Harvey’s original drawings from the demonstration.

? What to Bring:
We offered a drawing board with clips, which fits a maximum size of 11” x 15” pad/paper. 
Suggested art materials:
Prismacolor or Faber-Castell coloured pencils 
Mi-Teintes TOUCH fine-sanded card
UART premium sanded pastel paper 400/600
Industrial use sandpaper 400 and up
Dark tones preferred ( size limited to 9×12 inches ) 
We have a limited supply of sanded paper, but you are encouraged to bring your own.
